A practical car-hire checklist: documents, deposits, mileage, insurance, pickup, return and cancellation questions to agree before accepting your booking.
Compare the full arrangement, as well as the daily rate. Use this checklist with the vehicle provider or Kahayadrive when reviewing a hire request.
Check seats, luggage space, transmission, dates and route suitability. Ask whether the listing is self-drive or strictly chauffeured. Describe long journeys or unusual roads before acceptance rather than assuming any SUV is suitable.
Ask for the rental total, driver charges if needed, security deposit, fuel policy, mileage allowance, delivery and return fees. Clarify parking and late-return charges. A security deposit is different from a part-payment toward the hire.
Ask which ID, passport or licence documents the provider requires and how additional drivers are authorised. Confirm any age, licence or cross-border restrictions directly. Requirements can vary; this checklist is not a substitute for the agreement.
Ask what cover applies to the actual hire, the excess, exclusions and what to do after a breakdown or incident. Ask what changes, cancellations and extensions cost. Get those answers before paying; no universal cover or refund promise should be inferred from a listing.
Agree the handover location and time, record condition and fuel with the provider, and know who to contact during the hire. Keep the booking reference and receipts. Contact customer care if the agreed vehicle or terms change.
Kahayadrive Mobility connects customers with independent vehicle providers and drivers. Listing locations do not guarantee availability for your route.
